My favourite flight search engine. You can filter on cheapest month etc. I especially like the “everywhere’ option

Google Flights is somewhat similar to Skyscanner. You can see flights all over the world on a map, so you can find the cheapest location. It is a good search engine, to see what types of routes and connections there are

I love Hopper! I use Hopper to help determine the best time to purchase my flights. You can download the app from the Apple store to your phone, plug in the dates you are looking to travel and receive an alert about the best time to purchase plane tickets.

An international online reservation platform focused on hostels and travellers who want to visit the world on a budget. You will find 17,700 hostel listings, 13 million reviews and 173 countries to explore with like-minded people. You’ll also find hotels and B&B.

An international community that allows you to find free accommodation all around the world in exchange for pet and house sitting (and a small annual fee). A verification process together with a recommendation and review system keeps your transaction safe.

More than 28 million listings in 120,000 destinations worldwide. The description of the hotels, apartments and other accommodations is very detailed. The map and large reviews database are very useful in finding the best deals.

I am a HUGE fan of interrail. They offer train travel passes all across Europe

This is the best website when it comes to train travel, anywhere in the world! The Main in Seat 61 has a comprehensive guide on routes, prices, times and train conditions. If you want to travel by train and need information on it. This is the website to go

Are you not from the EU, but do you still want to travel by train with Interrail? Let me introduce you to Eurail; the same thing as interrail, but for citizens outside of the EU.

Cheap travel by bus in Europe? Flixbus is in my opinion the best provider!

Cheap travel by bus throughout the whole of Australia? Greyhound is your provider! You can buy tickets similar to interrail, where 1 ticket can get you multiple months of travel.

The must-have app to get around Southeast Asia. Like Uber, you know the price of the trip before you take it. Prices are also lower than the street fares.

A 101 hitchhike guide and wikipedia for hitchhiking the world.
